Transition Year Tours
Our Transition Year Workshops have proven to be a popular choice with
schools throughout Ireland. There are various language options available
including oral programmes, grammar workshops, as well as classes which
cover areas of reading and written production. One of our most popular
courses is the ‘Introduction to the Leaving Cert.’ syllabus in which
students study the actual layout of the Leaving Cert. exam, mark
allocations per questions, study technique and various areas from the
paper.
Introduction of New Languages in Transition Year:
Many schools avail of the opportunity in Transition Year to introduce
students to various different languages for a period during the academic
year. For example, students who will study French for the Leaving
Certificate, may be introduced to German or Spanish for a term during
the year. Our programmes are ideal in this instance as classes are
targeted and specific and thus create an ideal environment to introduce
students to a new language over a short period of time.
TOUR OPTIONS:
• Day Tour: (10am until 4.30pm) includes 1 language workshop & notes (3
hours) & 1 adventure session
• One Night Mid-week Stay: includes full board accommodation, 1 language
workshop & notes, 1 adventure session, a fully evening activity
programme and 24 hour supervision
• 2 Night Mid-week or Weekend Option: includes full board accommodation,
2 language workshops, language notes, 2 adventure sessions, 2 full
evening activity programmes & 24 hour supervision.
• 1 teacher for every group of 15 is free
• We offer 1 scholarship place for every group of 15 students for all 2
night residential programmes.
• Excellent 24 hour supervision which ensures that teachers have quality
free time. They are also more than welcome to take part in activities
should they wish to do so.
• Full assistance with all paperwork prior to the trip including
information flyers for parents and students, booking forms and consent
forms.
• We can also arrange for transfers to and from the centre.
